Dr. Michael Byron has thirty years of field work, research, and senior management experience in gold, base-metal, magmatic nickel & PGE, diamond, and gemstone exploration, spanning employment within the mineral exploration industry and government. He has provided consulting services to several junior explorers on African and South American gold and diamond projects, and co-founded a number of exploration companies with interests in North and South America. Dr. Byron was Vice President, Exploration of Aurora Platinum Corp. until its sale to FNX Mining in 2005. As the initial Vice President, Exploration of Lake Shore Gold he directed expansion of their exploration projects in the Timmins Gold Camp and oversaw the growth of the Timmins West deposit to more than 1.2 million ounces of gold laying the foundations for the now producing gold mine.In 2008, he joined Nighthawk Gold Corp. and began developing projects in the Northwest Territories. As Director and Chief Geologist he supervised the acquisition and advancement of the former producing Colomac Gold mine into a new multi-million ounce opportunity. Dr. Byron currently sits on the board of five publicly traded companies, is a professional geoscientist registered in Ontario and the Northwest Territories, and holds advanced degrees in Geology including a PhD from Carleton University of Ottawa, Ontario.
Mr. Leskovec is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over sixteen years of financial experience with publicly listed companies and capital markets. He also serves as a Vice-President of Northfield Capital Corporation, where he has gained experience working with publicly listed companies, assisting with investment analysis, financings, corporate structuring and go public transactions in Canada. Prior to this, Mr. Leskovec served as an Officer of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., which was involved in the development of the Bruce Channel deposit in Red Lake, Ontario, and was sold to Goldcorp Inc. for $1.5 billion in 2008. Mr. Leskovec earned his Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation while working in the audit and assurance practice for Smith Nixon LLP and has his Honours Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) Degree from Brock University.
Suzette Ramcharan is a seasoned mining and capital markets professional with over 16 years of experience working with development and producing companies in the precious metals space. She was most recently with Kirkland Lake Gold, working alongside the executive team, providing strategic support through an operational turnaround and two M&A transactions (acquisition of St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. and the merger with Newmarket Gold Inc.) as well as managing the day to day Investor Relations needs. Ms. Ramcharan has held progressively senior roles throughout her career which includes St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. (acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold in 2016), Gold Eagle Mines Ltd. (acquired by Goldcorp in 2008), European Goldfields Ltd, (acquired by Eldorado Gold Inc. in 2012), and Gabriel Resources Ltd.
Morris Prychidny is a Chartered Accountant with more than 35 years of experience in the mining and real-estate industries. Mr. Prychidny brings strong portfolio management and financing expertise through his roles in a number of publicly-listed investment and mining companies. He is currently a Director and Secretary-Treasurer of Orion Capital Incorporated, a Toronto-based asset management company with a focus on investing in the junior mining and real estate sectors. Mr. Prychidny is also a Director and an Audit Committee member of Northfield Capital Corporation, a public corporation with investments predominantly in the mineral resource sector. Additionally, He serves as a Director on the board of a number of investment and exploration companies, including Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd., Fountain Asset Corp., and Woodbine Downs Limited.
Mr. Ernie Eves, Q.C, LL.D. is the former Premier of Ontario (2002 - 2003) and former Finance Minister (1995-2001). Mr. Eves currently serves as an advisor, consultant or board member for several firms including Gravitas Financial Inc., PACE Securities Corp., Ilium Capital Corp., Nighthawk Gold Corp., YorkStreet Dispute Resolution Group Inc., Timeless Herbal Care as well as several other North American and international companies.
Mr. Eves is the Chair of the Justin Eves Foundation, and is a member of the board of directors for Special Olympics Canada.
Mr. Howlett is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of senior financial management experience. Mr. Howlett is currently the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Dundee Sustainable Technologies Inc and CR Capital Corp. He also formerly served as the President and Chief Financial Officer Superior Copper Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Howlett spent 12 years with ELI Eco Logic Inc., including 6 years as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Howlett graduated in 1982 with a B. Comm. in finance from Concordia University and received his CMA designation in 1989. Mr. Howlett also serves on the Board for several junior mining companies.
Luc Lessard is a mining engineer with more than 25 years of experience designing, building and operating mines. He was previously Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Malartic Partnership (owned jointly by Agnico Eagle and Yamana), and prior to that was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Osisko Mining Corporation where he was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the world class Canadian Malartic gold mine. Prior to Osisko, Mr. Lessard was Vice President of Engineering and Construction for IAMGOLD and General Manager, Projects for Cambior Inc. During his career, Mr. Lessard has worked on 11 open pit and underground mine builds.
Today, Mr. Lessard is the President, CEO and Director of Falco Resources, Senior Vice-President, Technical Services of Osisko Gold Royalties, Chief Operating Officer of Barkerville Gold Mines, and sits on the Board of Directors of Highland Copper and Bowmore Exploration.
Mr. Peters is a finance executive with over 15 years of experience in the mineral exploration business. Since 1996, Mr. Peters has been the Vice President, Finance of Northfield. Also he is currently a director of Carrie Arran Resources Inc. From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Peters was also the CFO of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd. (prior Southern Star Resources Ltd.) which was purchased by Goldcorp Inc. for $1.5 billion in 2008. In the past he has also served as an officer and/or director of Geoglobal Resources Inc., INV Metals Inc., and Aranka Gold Inc. Mr. Peters has a BBA from Brock University in Ontario, Canada.
