  • Keyvan Salehi
    President & CEO

    Keyvan Salehi

    Mr. Salehi has over 20 years of industry experience having held various senior roles in operations, projects, and corporate development. Prior to joining Nighthawk, Mr. Salehi served as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Technical Services with Mountain Province Diamonds, where he was responsible for providing operational and technical oversight for the Mountain Province’s jointly owned 12,000 tonnes per day diamond mine in the Northwest Territories (introducing mine optimization initiatives to increase production and reduce costs). Mr. Salehi previously served as VP of Corporate Development and Technical Services for Kirkland Lake Gold (2016-2017), where he led the Company’s due diligence team behind the $2.4B merger with Newmarket Gold.  He held the same position at St. Andrew Goldfields (2013-2016), where he spearheaded the Company’s sale process culminating in the sale to Kirkland Lake Gold in 2016. Prior to those roles, he held various operating positions with Lake Shore Gold, FNX Mining, and Vale (2002 – 2013). Mr. Salehi holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences, Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg-Schulich School of Management.

  • Michael G. Leskovec
    Chief Financial Officer

    Michael G. Leskovec

    Mr. Leskovec is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over sixteen years of financial experience with publicly listed companies and capital markets. He also serves as a Vice-President of Northfield Capital Corporation, where he has gained experience working with publicly listed companies, assisting with investment analysis, financings, corporate structuring and go public transactions in Canada. Prior to this, Mr. Leskovec served as an Officer of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., which was involved in the development of the Bruce Channel deposit in Red Lake, Ontario, and was sold to Goldcorp Inc. for $1.5 billion in 2008. Mr. Leskovec earned his Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation while working in the audit and assurance practice for Smith Nixon LLP and has his Honours Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) Degree from Brock University.

  • Richard Roy
    Vice President of Exploration

    Richard Roy

    Mr. Roy is an experienced geologist with over 30 years in the mineral resource industry working across three continents including extensive experience with underground deposits. Prior to joining Nighthawk, he most recently held the position of Vice President New Ventures with Endeavour Mining Corporation upon the completion of the $1.6 billion acquisition of Semafo Inc. in March 2020. Prior to that, Mr. Roy spent almost 11 years with Semafo Inc. (as the Exploration Manager and subsequently holding the position of Vice President Exploration), where he focused on target selection and prioritization, and was part of the acquisition team looking at opportunities of a variety of grassroots to late-stage level projects. Mr. Roy has designed and implemented successful exploration programs and mine feasibility programs in Mexico and North America, including Nunavut, working for companies such as Aur Resources, Placer Dome and several other junior companies. He has been involved in the discovery of several gold deposits that ultimately reached the mining stage.  Mr. Roy holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Concordia University in Montreal and is a member of the Ordre des Géologues du Québec and is a Qualified Person in accordance with NI 43-101 regulations.

  • Suzette N. Ramcharan
    Vice President, Corporate Development

    Suzette N. Ramcharan

    Ms. Ramcharan is a seasoned mining and capital markets professional with over 19 years of experience working with exploration, development and producing companies in the precious metals space. Ms. Ramcharan was most recently with Kirkland Lake Gold, working alongside the executive team, providing strategic support through an operational turnaround and two M&A transactions (acquisition of St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. and the merger with Newmarket Gold Inc.) as well as managing the Investor Relations program. Ms. Ramcharan has held progressively senior roles throughout her career which includes St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. (acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold in 2016), Gold Eagle Mines Ltd. (acquired by Goldcorp in 2008), European Goldfields Ltd, (acquired by Eldorado Gold Inc. in 2012), and Gabriel Resources Ltd.

    Manager Stakeholder Relations & Permitting

    Denise Lockett

    Ms. Lockett is the principal of Lockett Consultation Services Inc., which was formed in January 2006, to provide expertise in communication, consultation, sustainability, as well as licensing and permitting advice and services to exploration companies. Ms. Lockett has over 25 years of experience in the exploration and mining industries primarily in the NWT, Nunavut, and BC. Denise is an active member of the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines since 1997, is a Past-President of the NWT Chamber of Commerce, and Past-President of Scouts Canada for the NWT. Denise has written two articles on consultation, “The right thing to do”, published in Canadian Diamonds, and “The cost of consultation” in Far North Oil and Gas Review and was featured in Workers Safety and Compensation Commission’s Lead magazine.

  • Morris Prychidny
    Chairman of the Board

    Morris Prychidny

    Mr. Prychidny is a Chartered Accountant with more than 35 years of experience in the mining and real-estate industries. Mr. Prychidny brings strong portfolio management and financing expertise through his roles in a number of publicly-listed investment and mining companies. He is currently a Director and Secretary-Treasurer of Orion Capital Incorporated, a Toronto-based asset management company with a focus on investing in the junior mining and real estate sectors. Mr. Prychidny is also a Director and an Audit Committee member of Northfield Capital Corporation, a public corporation with investments predominantly in the mineral resource sector. Additionally, He serves as a Director on the board of a number of investment and exploration companies, including Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd., Fountain Asset Corp., and Woodbine Downs Limited.

  • Dr. Michael J. Byron

    Dr. Michael J. Byron

    Dr. Byron has over thirty years of industry experience spanning employment within the mineral exploration industry and government. Dr. Byron provided consulting services to several junior explorers on African and South American gold and diamond projects and co-founded a number of exploration companies with interests in North and South America. Dr. Byron was Vice President, Exploration of Aurora Platinum Corp. until its sale to FNX Mining in 2005. As the initial Vice President, Exploration of Lake Shore Gold he directed expansion of their exploration projects in the Timmins Gold Camp and oversaw the growth of the Timmins West deposit to more than 1.2 million ounces of gold laying the foundations for the now producing gold mine. In 2008, he joined Nighthawk Gold Corp. and began developing projects in the Northwest Territories. As a Director and Chief Geologist, he supervised the acquisition and advancement of the former producing Colomac Gold mine into a new multi-million-ounce opportunity. Dr. Byron stepped down as the President & CEO effective January 1, 2021, but remains a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Byron currently sits on the board of five publicly traded companies, is a professional geoscientist registered in Ontario and the Northwest Territories and holds advanced degrees in Geology including a PhD from Carleton University of Ottawa, Ontario.

    Ernie Eves

    Mr. Eves, Q.C, LL.D. is the former Premier of Ontario (2002 - 2003) and former Finance Minister (1995-2001). Mr. Eves currently serves as an advisor, consultant or board member for several firms including Gravitas Financial Inc., Ilium Capital Corp., Nighthawk Gold Corp., York Street Dispute Resolution Group Inc., Timeless Herbal Care as well as several other North American and international companies.

    Mr. Eves is the Chair of the Justin Eves Foundation, and is a member of the board of directors for Special Olympics Canada.

  • Brian Howlett

    Brian Howlett

    Mr. Howlett is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of senior financial management experience. Mr. Howlett is currently the President, Chief Executive Officer with Hemlo Explorers Inc., and President, CEO and a Director with Voyageur Mineral Explorers Corp. He also formerly served as the President and Chief Financial Officer Superior Copper Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Howlett spent 12 years with ELI Eco Logic Inc., including 6 years as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Howlett graduated in 1982 with a B. Comm. in finance from Concordia University and received his CMA designation in 1989. Mr. Howlett also serves on the Board for several junior mining companies.

  • Luc Lessard

    Luc Lessard

    Mr. Lessard is a mining engineer with more than 30 years of experience designing, building and operating mines. He is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Falco Resources Ltd and Senior Vice President, Technical Services of Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. Mr. Lessard was previously Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Malartic (owned jointly by Agnico and Yamana), and prior to that was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Osisko Mining Corporation where he was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the Canadian Malartic gold mine. During his career, Mr. Lessard has worked on many open pit and underground mine builds and prior to Osisko, Mr. Lessard was Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Iamgold Corporation and General Manager, Projects for Cambior Inc. From July 2014 to May 2016, he served on the boards of directors of Alio Gold Inc. (July 2014 to May 2016) and Highland Copper Co (November 2015 to February 2019). Mr. Lessard was Chief Operating Officer of Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. until October 2018 and currently serves on the board of directors of Osisko Metals Inc. and Nighthawk Gold Corp. Mr. Lessard holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from Université Laval and he is a member of l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

  • Dan Noone

    Dan Noone

    Mr. Noone has more than 30 years of international mineral exploration and development experience ranging from implementing grassroots programs through to feasibility studies. He is currently the CEO of G2 Goldfields Inc. Previous roles include Executive Director and V.P. of Exploration at Guyana Goldfields, V.P. of Peruvian Operations for Aquiline Resources Inc. and the President and CEO of Absolut Resources Inc. Mr. Noone has managed projects in Guyana, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Peru, Ecuador and Argentina. Mr. Noone holds a degree in geology from Ballarat University and an MBA from Melbourne University. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG) and a Fellow of the SEG.

  • Eric Tremblay

    Eric Tremblay

    Mr. Tremblay, a seasoned mining professional with over 30 years of mine building and mine operations experience, and is currently the Chief Operating Officer with Dalradian Resources Inc. He previously held the role of General Manager at Canadian Malartic, Canada's largest open pit gold mine. He was responsible for building the operations team, establishing operating procedures and standards, expanding stakeholder engagement and subsequently managing an internal team of 700 employees. Mr. Tremblay was also the General Manager at IAMGOLD's Westwood Project, where he participated in closure of the Doyon Mine and construction of the Westwood Project, completing the permitting, scoping study, feasibility study, surface construction and underground development at Westwood. Previous positions include, Underground Superintendent at Cambior's Mouska Mine, Underground Captain/Project and Engineer/Senior Supervisor over a seven-year period at Cambior and Barrick's Doyon Mine, where he was involved in mine-planning, construction, development and production. During his studies and afterwards he worked on various underground mines and projects, including Musselwhite. Mr. Tremblay graduated from Laval University with a B.Sc. in mining engineering and mineral processing.
